22.- 23.8.2015, Saariselkä, Finland WRC2015 were held in the Saariselkä region round 200 km north from the Arctic Circle and it was the first ever World Rogaining Championships to be held above the Arctic Circle. The competition area was in and around the Urho Kekkonen National Park, which is the second biggest protected area in Finland- it is a Eldorado for Hikers and Nature Lowers. The competition area includes nice and easy to run open tundra with fells and also hard to pass wetlands. It was for sure be a challenging and a thorough test of the world's best rogaining teams. |
